VMware has placed a whitepaper on the vmware.com website entitled "Microsoft Virtualization Licensing and Distribution Terms". This whitepaper outlines things that Microsoft is doing with it's virtualization products that VMware sees as restrictive. The article opens with "Microsoft is trying to restrict customers’ flexibility and freedom to choose virtualization software by limiting who can run their software and how they can run it." It is a very good read and quite provocative. Check it out here.
