The Adelaide VMUG is finally happening. After a few false starts it is will be held on the 4/4/07 at the Adelaide Univesity in the Napier Room.
Time is 5:00pm - 7:30pm and my good friend Michael Boots will be talking about the Adelaide University and what they have done with VMware.

VMware has placed a whitepaper on the vmware.com website entitled "Microsoft Virtualization Licensing and Distribution Terms". This whitepaper outlines things that Microsoft is doing with it's virtualization products that VMware sees as restrictive. The article opens with "Microsoft is trying to restrict customers’ flexibility and freedom to choose virtualization software by limiting who can run their software and how they can run it." It is a very good read and quite provocative. Check it out here.

ozvms.com is pleased to be able to link you to a video on Windows Server Virtualisation. What an amazing clip, it is about 5 minutes long and gives a sneak peek at Systems Center Virtual Machine Manager, proves the existance of virtual machine hot migration and shows an 8 core virtual machine running! This video of a demo was presented by Jeff Woolsey as part of Bill Gates keynote speech for an internal Microsoft conference a few weeks ago in Redmond.
