There has been some talk of starting a VMware usergroup here in Brisbane. Anyone out there interested as well?

...Maybe even someone out there got a venue or a meeting place we can start with?

Welcome to the site!

I have heard rumblings about a Brisbane one starting up as well. I know there are a few large VMware sites including the whitepaper site Brisbane City Council in the region. I used to live on the Gold Coast myself and know a number of VMware administrators in that area.

A user group in the Brisbane/Gold Coast region would have a large membership. I have sent an email off to a few people about this and I will let you know what I find out.

It looks as if VMware is currently in the process of trying to organise a user group for both Brisbane and Melbourne. There are three main points to note with this.

The person who hosts it, a vmware client must have a room large enough to hold at least 20 people.

VMware will do all the registrations and the invites.

Vmware can provide a technical rep to answer any questions.

If you are interested in hosting the event, let me know and I will put you in touch with the right person to help you organise it.

hi and welcome to the site!

I have a contact at vmware who helps organise the user groups. Once we can get someone interested in hosting it then it can be set up and the details posted here and at the official http://www.vmware.com/vmug address.

we will keep you updated!
